He is a senior level marketing professional with broad management experience. He is a top industry talent and an innovative practitioner of integrated marketing. In summary, Dan is one of the very few (count ‘em on one hand with fingers left) marketers who understands integrated marketing, traditional marketing (ala packaged goods, etc.) and database marketing. There are very few people in North America (or internationally) that can effectively utilize all these skill sets. A “bilingual”, so-to-speak.

Beginning with an assessment of the need and starting from scratch, with zero staff, Dan led the development of strategic database marketing at Ralston Purina (now Nestle Purina). Within ten years, and a staff of nearly twenty professionals, Dan’s clients included pet products, Hostess Wonder brands, cereal brands (Chex, etc.), Energizer, Keystone Ski Resort, Conagra and others. In 1993, Dan Davidson was named the most innovative database marketer in the packaged goods industry (Direct Magazine, November, 1993).

After years of extensive success at Ralston Purina, Dan was recruited to Enterprise Rent-A-Car to do the same as he had at Ralston Purina. That’s right, another start-from-scratch operation without staff. Four years later, as Director of Marketing, Dan Davidson had built a group of 25 professional marketers with fully integrated strategy and execution. These professionals led their fields in the disciplines of consumer promotion, database marketing, e-mail marketing (as a part of database marketing), online affiliate marketing, search engine marketing, yellow page directory marketing and internet yellow page marketing (IYP’s). This talented team led to record setting achievements in every measured marketing metric in each year since Dan began building the team at Enterprise.
